Working Principle
Multi-directional shuttle cars (represented by four-way shuttle cars) are intelligent warehousing robots that can move freely along the horizontal and vertical axes (X/Y) of shelves to achieve automated cargo storage and retrieval in a 3D space. Its core working mechanisms include:
Four-way Travel CapabilityEquipped with two sets of orthogonal driving wheels (e.g., Mecanum wheels or bidirectional driving wheels), it enables flexible switching between forward, backward, leftward and rightward movement, with direction changes achievable without steering.
Layer Transfer FunctionIt switches between different shelf layers by means of hoists or built-in shelf lifting devices, completing 3D path planning for cargo handling.
Fork Telescopic TechnologyThe on-board telescopic forks can extend horizontally or vertically for precise cargo storage and retrieval, supporting pallets, bins or custom carriers.
Multi-vehicle Collaborative SchedulingThe Central Control System (RCS) assigns tasks to achieve path conflict avoidance and operational efficiency optimization. It also links with hoists, conveyors and other equipment to realize a fully automated operation process.
Superior space utilization; High flexibility; Intelligent management; Strong scalability; Excellent environmental adaptability.
